>> welcome back. we are falling a developing story of a san francisco where fire crews from the scene of a four alarm fire in the bayview district. mike pelton joins us live from the same. >> here is the damage that is left behind. the fire grew to four homes and

difficult. there were a lot of hugs and a lot of tears that were shed as the workers wrapped up their ships for the last time. we already heard from last toll taker, but a few others reflected on their jobs and how they will miss the people that that work with. >> there are of the ones the cat may together and i do now have this option anymore. >> i never thought about in my career here. i have been here since i was 16 years old. i am 43 years old. i am very sad. i am very angry about losing my job. i will miss the customers the most. that really hurts. >> the two women said they plan to take a break from the bridge and stay away from it for a while.hey

added that it would be too painful to come back and to seek the only electronic tolls and action. >> there is an accident in stevenson southbound 880 that is blocking a line. it has more from the center divider to the right shoulder. 46 to 48 minutes for drive time. and earlier our current problem had tied up the traffic from san leandro and hayward. the only good news is that it kept it a continuous back up. this is not a really good alternate. if you would just have to endure the extra 10 minutes. it may possibly be a blunder. looking at the bridges at the golden gate bridge we are keeping an eye on the conditions. so far, no backups due to the toll collection. >> the bay bridge is seeing a pretty good ride and the

>> and eight year-old girl who was shot by an arrow outside of a uc berkeley science center is recovering this morning. a suspect is still on a loose. doctors remove the aero from her legs yesterday. off they year-old girl was climbing on a large well sculpture at the lawrence hall of science when she was shot. it was part of a school trip at the science center. witnesses say that there were other children's and the play area when this incident happened. >> investigators are trying to figure out where this arrow came from and the pulmonary witness' statement stated that it might have

>> welcome back. >> the supreme court has begun hearings on the defense of marriage act. yesterday's the court heard arguments on california's proposition 8. the voter approved ban on same-sex marriage. a section of the federal defense of marriage act is before the justices this morning. it is a constitutional challenge to the law that prevents

problems with accessing the bridge? are some of them buried in concrete or hit and? >> where it has been identified this is covered by the road that and for all purposes is inaccessible, but there are other connecting rods on this structure that we can access and those will be removed and analyzed. this will tell us how many may need to be replaced whether it is all of them or some of them. >> it has not been determined yet if all 288 of them will be replaced? >> yes. that decision has not been made. >> when will that decision be made? >> it should be made within the next couple of weeks.
